The Koran and Book of Mormon condemn Christian baptism

The basic Catholic doctrines about baptism, usually performed on babies, are potentially offensive.

The baby is said to have sin - the absence of God's loving presence - and need it taken away by being baptised with water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Some religions don't want God accused of finding sin in babies that he needs to forgive. Others say that God is strictly one and the words, "I baptise you in the name of the Father and Son and Holy Spirit" when understood to mean three persons are really insulting God and reason and saying there are three Gods. For Muslims, anything that denies the perfect oneness of God is a blasphemous sin.

Koran: O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity"" desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. (4:171, Yusif Ali)

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (9:30, Yusif Ali)

When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)! 58 And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people. 59 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. (43:57-59, Yusif Ali)

Baptism is based on calling Christ the Son of God in the strongest way. The Mass does the same thing. Baptism is done to honour the Mass by authorising you to participate in it and to share in offering it with the priest. In the Mass, bread and wine are pretended to be the actual body and blood of Jesus which is idolatry. The Koran's curse then applies to all who get baptised as adults and all who baptise children. The Koran says that Jesus was not God or a god but a mere servant of God. Baptism calls him God.

Catholicism calls Mary the Mother of God but the Koran says she was a host mother for God made Jesus inside her just like he made Adam from the dust. The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be." And he was. (3:59, Yusif Ali)

The Book of Mormon warns that if you die after trying to baptise a child you will be damned. It regards it as a grave evil to think God has a problem with a baby.
